Post subject:  Windows 8.1 settings: Disable Ribbon
Classic Explorer on my Windows 7 desktop looks exactly like the one shown on the home page:

But on my Windows 8.1 tablet, Classic Explorer looks very different. The Menu Bar has "File/Computer/View" tabs instead of "File/Edit/View/Tools/Help" tabs. Is there a way to set it up like on my Windows 7, i.e. like on the home page?

Use Ribbon Disabler for that: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.20 (Classic Shell is not responsible for third party tools recommended here).

Note that Classic Explorer is only the name of the Classic Shell component that adds the toolbar, Up button, navigation pane fixes, status bar, shared folder icon overlay to Explorer and other features. Windows still has the original Explorer i.e. File Explorer.
