In Windows 7, it's really annoying that you always have to click a button to see the full information during a file copy.

Does Classic Explorer replace the abbreviated dialog box with a more comprehensive one?

(If not, anyone know any products that do?)

On Windows 7, the Classic Explorer addon has an option "Always show more details" on the "File Operation" tab. It auto-expands Windows 7's file copy progress dialog to show more details. You can also adjust the delay in milliseconds for showing more details. Default is 500 ms but I recommend you set it to 1000 ms.

If you want to entirely replace Microsoft's copy engine and UI which keeps changing in every Windows release introducing more annoyances, I recommend PerigeeCopy because it has excellent usability: http://jstanley.pingerthinger.com/pscopy.html See a review here if you are interested: http://winaero.com/blog/queue-copy-and- ... rigeecopy/
