Could you add some options in windows 8/8.1/8.1U1 for changing the way explorer looks, and fix the ones that would still work? For instance, would it be possible to change the location of the details pane to the bottom (saves a lot of space)? None of the options besides the toolbar work, (many of them could still apply in windows 8) and there are no Windows 8-specific options.
