I would like to change Network, which appears in the left hand explorer pane to My Network Places so I can see the computers on my network. I have searched and read over various posts in the forum and the FAQ but do not see how to do this.

Classic Shell does not provide features for customizing the locations in the left pane in Explorer.

Is there no way to add a link to my network places or to networked computers anywhere within Classic Shell. I would think this would be a very important feature of any file manager.

I may have misspoke. I am talking about the left pane (or anywhere) of Classic Explorer.

'classic explorer' is a toolbar for windows explorer, it is not its own file manager

You could open Explorer shell:::{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D} and drag it from the address bar icon to the Favorites pane to create a shortcut there. shell:::{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D} is the old Network Places folder (which used to hang Explorer). :D
