Hello,

Thank you for creating "Classic Shell". :)

Is there a way to configure the Email default button to send emails via Google, Yahoo, etc?
And if it is possible, please let me know how I can accomplish this task.

Thanks,
genbaez

No, not possible. There is no generic system that can do that because there is no standard protocol for using web mail. Every mail service is unique.

Well, there are 3rd party Mail API (MAPI) providers for Gmail etc such as this one: http://code.google.com/p/tvhgooglemapi/. Search for 'MAPI Gmail OR Hotmail'.

Thank you both, I did try the suggested app, but with no avail to me. Perhaps I am proceeding erroneously. The version I installed was the featured version not the beta, siding in the cautious side since I am running Win 8 Pro.

The toolbar button does the same as right-click -> send to -> email. If the software you installed doesn't replace that functionality, then it won't work with the toolbar.

That app appears to require the Java runtime installed for it to work. Worked for me for Gmail. It gets saved as a draft on Gmail which you can continue composing. I tried the beta version, not the featured.

Btw, note that any third party app recommendation are made purely for your convenience. Use at your own risk. Unrelated and unsupported by Classic Shell.
