why does metro open instead the start button. Metro opens and I have to go to desktop before I can get the start button lor86 |

If you are using version 3.6.x, sometimes it fails to boot to the desktop because the service doesn't start early enough or doesn't start at all. Check in Services.msc if Classic Shell service is set to Automatic. The newer version 3.9.0, which is in beta, does away with the service and uses a different more reliable method to boot to the desktop. If the Classic Shell service is set to Automatic and started and yet Metro is being shown, then you can try the newer version 3.9.0 from the homepage to see if it boots to the desktop. |
