Post subject:  Icon disappears from navigation area

From time to time the icon for NetMeterEvo disappears from from my Classic Start Menu navigation area even though the application is still running and its graph is still present on the desktop. This process runs in the background and shows up only in the navigation area. The only way I've found to restore the icon is to kill the NetMeterEvo application and relaunch it. Perhaps there's a better way?

I've noticed similar behavior for the icons of AutoHotKey and Voidtools Everything. The applications continue to run, but their icons have disappeared.

Do you mean the system tray? (far right in, or after the ^ symbol)
or the taskbar?
Neither of which classic shell controls, beyond applying a texture if you opt-into the 'customize taskbar' settings (which are off by default)

If you mean the start menu itself; a program running should have 0 bearing on if an item appears in the start menu, unless the program itself is doing something wonky like removing it.
