Please excuse the lack of a somewhat clear subject title, Background: When dragging an menu item within the Classic Start Menu, and trying to put the item into another folder, also within the Classic Start Menu; All the folders that are hovered over with the dragged item are instantly opened. Problem: This creates the problem when relocating a item, for example: to a few folders up or down. Because all those folders in between folder A and B are opened up instantly. And depending on the content of those automatically opened up folders, it makes rearranging menu items, unnecessarily time consuming and a pain. Especially when instant opened folders have a lot of menu items. Temporarily Fix: Right now I just open both folders in the explorer and do the rearranging that way. However a delay feature for the auto opening of hovered over folders, I consider a basic feature. Question: Is there a setting that can delay the automatically opening of folders while hovering over them with a dragged item by at least 0.5 second or more? Sincerely, sol |

In Classic Start Menu Settings, type the following into the Search box at the top of the Settings window: delay You can adjust the various delays there. Each setting has help in its tooltip/infotip which appears when you hover over it with the mouse. |
