I recently changed to a new computer and had to install Classic Shell again. All seems fine except for one thing. Whenever I click shortcuts I have made in the Start Menu, the file location is not the original one, but rather one made from Classic Shell.

Here is an example of the shortcut which is connected to the original folder location I have to make things a bit simpler to explain:

Name > AppData > Local > osu!

This is what I get if I click a shortcut to that file from the start menu.

Name > AppData > Roaming > ClassicShell > Pinned (All the pinned shortcuts I have put in the Start Menu are here)

This prevents me from simply going back to previous folders I may want to go to. All I want is the shortcut I made to actually lead to the original file and folder locations rather than these folders that are not relevant much. Sorry if this is confusing, it is really hard to explain, but I do hope someone can give me a solution.

Yes this is a known problem but that's how it works. To work around this, try this:

Open this folder in Windows File Explorer:
C:\Users\<YOUR USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\ClassicShell\Pinned

Right click the folder which you want to pin e.g. 'osu!'. Then right click in the empty area of the Pinned folder and choose "Paste shortcut". Now the shortcut created in the Start Menu will take you to the original folder.
