Classic Shell Start menu button just disappears on my Windows 8 64 bit edition. On repairing it re-appears, but never stays longer. I have to repeat the process. Or, unstall completely and re-install, to get it re-appear

Try if starting it manually works from C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe and if it does, then place a shortcut to it in your Startup folder so it starts reliably every time. Also, in Services.msc, make sure that the Classic Shell service is set to Automatic. |
