I LOVE Classic Shell! Everyone in my family brings their new computers to me to set it up for them and the first thing I do is install Classic Shell. Out of all the computers I've set up, there's ONE that refuses to keep it installed. A Windows 10 laptop with the Home version. Every time it does an update, the start button disappears! I simply run the install from the download folder and there it is again with all the settings I previously had. I have no idea what's going on but of all the people to do it to, this one is the worst. My 83 year old father can't remember to simply run the install program to bring it back. Is there a setting to stop Windows from removing it? Thanks!

Make sure "Start automatically for this user" option is turned on in Start Menu Settings -> General Behavior tab.

Or you can create a shortcut to C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe. Copy-paste the shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp
