Hi. I have multiple monitors, set with the same resolution 1920x1080.
I needed to change which monitor was the primary(the laptop original).

When I changed the main monitor, the taskbar appears positioned around 3/4 of the screen. Also, seems to be reduced in sized. It is not anchored to the bottom of the screen. In fact, apps treat the new position of the task bar as the "bottom" and anchor to 3/4 position of the screen unless I manually enlarge them.

How can I fix this?

Does a restart fix it?

Restart fixes it apparently. But Due work reasons I have to change the main screen several times during the day. Is there a way to fix this issue without restarting or logging off?

Unlock the taskbar if it is locked, then wiggle it with the mouse. Maybe it will reposition.
BTW, I don't think the problem is related to Classic Shell. Temporarily disable Classic Shell and see if the problem still happens.

I think this is a Taskbar bug. When its position changes, sometimes Windows fails to convey this to other apps and desktop icons. This affects Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

Or it might be a more recent bug that started in Windows 10 Build 15002. It's a crap POS. I don't recommend anyone to use Windows 10 at all.
