Basically, i installed classic shell to have a see through task bar (because i'm sick of the translucent windows one) but in doing so, it has changed my default windows 10 start menu, which i don't want. At the moment my windows 10 start menu has the setting that allows it to full screen itself (kind of like windows 8) and its practically see through, i'm new to this and did google to try and find some answers but nothing conclusive.

In short, can i keep my windows 10 start menu and still have the see through task bar?

Look at the Controls tab in the settings. You can change which of the two menus open when you click on the start button or press the Win key.
