I'm looking forward to Windows 8.1 when it comes out later this month. However, the classic start menu functionality is pretty important in my day-to-day use of Win8. Has there been any testing of Classic Start Menu in Windows 8.1? Does it still work? Will I be able to replace the Metro-linked start button with the Classic Start Menu? Thanks for the best Windows 8 product out there!! |

There is no official release of Windows 8.1 yet. At this time it is unknown if Classic Shell will work on it as is or will require modification. |

Yes, Classic Shell still works on windows 8.1 and yes, you will still need it, since the re-introduced start button is utterly useless. |

"Start Button" means button only...lol...MICROSOFT!!! Still no true menu. Thank you Classic Shell again. |

The latest 3.9.x RC and the upcoming stable release 4.0 fully and officially support Windows 8.1 RTM. |
