Can someone please tell me how to hide the recently used items that appear next to the programs? For example, excel is one of my frequently used applications. I want to see the app, but I don't want the pop out that tells what the last 10 spread sheets that I have opened. I'm currently trying beta 3.9.3, but was just using 3.6.8. I know on the older versions I can uncheck "Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar"But I can't find that anymore.

Thanks-
Bill

What you are talking about is called "jumplist". Look for a setting called "Enable Jumplists" in the Main Menu tab.
The "Store and display" setting is not a Classic Shell setting, it is a Windows setting. You access it by right-clicking on the taskbar and then Properties. It will affect the jumplists in both the start menu and the taskbar.
