When typing some text into 'Search programs and files' the results display with Documents at the top then Files underneath. Is there any way to set which results i want at the top? I would prefer to have 'Files' at the top of the results. |

The "Files" category is usually what can't be grouped under Documents, Music, Pictures or Videos. You can try unchecking "Organize by library" option on the Search Box tab in Start Menu Settings. That will put all results under a single "Files" heading. The items you open via search the most number of times will gradually rise to the top as the search tracks frequency of use. Relevance of the results will also be taken into account besides frequency of launching the item. |
