logged in this morning and saw a blank screen. no icons, no shortcuts, no date/time, nothing. clicked over to Win10 Metro everything fine. clicked back, nothing. went through the entire settings folder, uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing. desktop info is still there, can click on items in windows explorer and they open as normal. changed resolution. no difference. ran reg cleaner nothing. any idea what is happening? thanks. |

This probably isnt related to classic shell. though you can try restarting explorer.exe Press ctrl+shift+escape then go to file>run and type explorer.exe Or try restarting your pc. If neither of these work, open command prompt (ctrl+shift+escape>file>run>cmd.exe) and type :"sfc /scannow /f /r" then let that run If none of these solve your issue, Im out of ideas, but a screenshot of your desktop might help further troubleshoot |

What do you mean "clicked over to Win10 Metro" and back? Also which settings folder? |
