Jcee thanks as to Drag an icon to the start button, then move it to the top of the menu Like so: in your screen shot being a disabled person it is hard to Drag an icon to the start button, then move it to the top of the menu so what start menu style would it be easy for me to do ?

You can also right click (which i believe is a long press) then select pin to start (classic shell) however this only works with shortcuts (so make a shortcut to it first if needed)

These are for shortcuts You can create a shortcut for anything, a file, folder, app, or program.

Here is how to make a shortcut to your desktop, incase you need to know.

Well you can customize classic shells start menu in any way you want, however it gets quite complicated, if you want to give me a list of all the things you don't want in the menu, i can log on and remove them for you. Itll probably be tomorrow though

What you need to do is create an .xml, the steps are the same as loading one, except select save, and choose a location to save it. I can show a picture if needed in a bit

There are at least a hundred different looks/skins for classic shell. You can view them in this classic shell sub-forum: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=17
The windows 7 style is similar to vista, but it can be tweaked further.
When you save an .xml you are saving all of your classic shell settings. so you can mess around without worry now, and if you mess things up, you can just go back to your saved .xml

about 80% of the post from the link provided contain skins, you just have to browse through them 1 at a time, if you wish to see them. If you find one you like, I can help you install it.

Yes. You look through the pages there, and then if you decide you like one of the pics, I do my best to set yours up that way if possible.

By clicking these links, you get post with pictures of various looks. You can look through them, and decide if you like any of them, then post a link to the one you like here. Just note, I'm not going to go through each and every one. only a few.
