I was making some changes to the skin and wanted to change back to the WinXPLuna skin, but I was disappointed when it wasn't there. I don't know why or how it disappeared. I was making changes in the "Customize Start Menu" and did not edit any skins at all. Also, the Glass skins are missing. As of now I can only use Midnight, Windows 8, Windows Aero, Metro, Classic, and no skin. One more problem I have is inside the Customize Start Menu I can't figure out how to add my own folder instead of the 'Games' folder. The games folder is obsolete and I want a quick way to launch Steam games without launching the Steam application. Other than that I'm lovin' Classic Shell. ^_^

You have probably selected to use the Windows 7 style. It has a different, and more limited, set of skins. To go back to the way you were, go to the Start Menu Style tab and choose one of the Classic styles. |

You can replace the Games folder with your Steam folder. Here's how to do it: 1. Open Classic Start Menu Settings. 2. Check the "Show all settings" checkbox at the top. 3. Go to the Customize Start Menu tab. 4. Double click the *icon* of the "Games" item. It will show the "Edit Menu Item" dialog. 5. Erase everything in the "Command" field and press the Tab key. 6. In the "Link" field type or copy-paste this path: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Steam\ 7. If you want the folder to be called "Games" or "Steam Games" instead of "Steam", type that in the Label field. 8. Click OK to save all settings. Now you will have your Steam games directly in the Main menu's right column in place of the former Games folder. |
