I'm trying to figure out a way to prevent users from loading the Windows 8.1 metro screen when they log in for the first time. I know there's an option to turn it of for the current user but I'm trying to find a way to apply this setting to anyone logging in for the first time. I have Classic Shell 4.2.1 installed. Is booting directly to the desktop something that needs to be done via GPO through Windows? |

Unfortunately, Windows 8.1 does not have a policy to affect all user accounts to boot to the Desktop so this is not possible. |
