Hey, when the computer boots, how do I make it go directly to the desktop screen instead of that crappy win 8 app-screen? Thanks |

So you DONT have the free 8.1 update? it includes this feature, along with many others that are quite nice.. Try this, right click the taskbar, select navigation, and look for an option that says "Show my desktop background on start" then check it if its there (though I think its only there with 8.1) |

Go to the Windows 8 tab in the settings and turn on the "Skip Metro screen" setting. |
