| Post subject: | Black screen 8.1 |
Installed last night on my Windows 8.1 machine and worked to some estent. Did a normal shutdown and when I booted this a.m., I got my normal login screen, entered my pin and then all I get is a black screen with a moveable mouse. Am vision impaired and dufficult to read all this stuff. I really need help in restoring my computer. Thanks, Charlie |

Something is messed up with your installation. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and then run the Task Manager. From there, go to File -> New Task. Run the Classic Shell installer again and choose the Remove option. Then restart and hopefully you won't get the black screen. |

Many thanks for the advice. I have muddled my way to my home screen and uninstalled Classic Shell. Maybe re-install when sure backup is on another drive. Charlie |
