rather than the default behavior to cancel search command (if default to search bar when open)
I find useful functionality to have 'esc' be another option to close (not toggle) the classic shell.

The escape key should already work in this fashion? you tap it once to cancel the search, and a second time to close the menu. Or are you requesting a single tap to close the entire menu? |
