Hi all, When installing Classic Start Menu in win8 does it install to all users or just the user account that you are in at the time. |

It installs for all users. |

Is there a hack to get around this? My daughter and I share the computer. I want Classic Shell but she wants the standard win8 start screen. |

There are 2 things you can do: 1) Change the settings on her account to hide the start button and use the Win key to open the start screen (and turn off any other features you don't want). 2) Stop the ClassicShellService service from running and use another way to run the start menu on your account (for example place a shortcut to ClassicStartMenu.exe in the Startup folder). It will take a 5-10 seconds for it to start when you log in though. |
