You need to make the taskbar taller so it can fit the date. You can do it by unchecking the "Use small taskbar buttons" in the taskbar properties or by resizing the taskbar to have multiple rows (drag it with the mouse by its top edge).

hi, I installed Classic Start Menu on my wife´s HP14 laptop, win 8.1 running spanish and her date in the notification box disappeared. The time is there, but we cannot figure out how to make the date come back. Any ideas? Thanks. |

This was not the perfect answer but it got us to the right area to make the change. The place to make these kinds of changes is in Control Panel Personalization options for the Taskbar. |
