I want the My Computer/User data/etc. icons in Classic Shell to change with the Windows icons. I know there's a way to access the current wallpaper in %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft, so I was wondering if there was a similar place where Windows stores the current "themeable" icons. Is there? |

Newer versions of Classic Shell cache the icons to the disk drive. Normally, after changing the system icons like My Computer/This PC, a restart of the Classic Start Menu should be enough to show the updated icon but if it doesn't change, delete the following files: %appdata%\ClassicShell\DataCache.db %localappdata%\ClassicShell\DataCache.db Then exit and launch the Start Menu again. |
