Post subject:  Unable to disable Settings option
Hello everyone,

I am trying to build a new Windows 2012 RD Farm, and with that I am attempting to install and configure the Classic Shell start menu so that users have some familiarity with accessing apps and settings etc.

I am trying to disable the right click option on the Start Button, that shows the Classic Shell pop-up menu. I have managed to disable all of the other option with the menu except for the Settings option (screenshots attached). I have so far set everything with Group Policy, and I have set within Group Policy the "Enable settings" option to Enabled with the State set to "Locked to this value" and the Enable setting option left unchecked. I have tried setting this option to Not Configured, Enabled, Disabled etc and the Settings option still appears. I have also tried creating a new registry entry with the EnableSettings key within the HKLM area, which again doesn't seem to have any effect and the Settings option still appears.

I have tried re-installing the Classic Shell Software, removed the Group Policy options and recreated them but still the Settings menu appears.

If anyone has any thoughts of how I can hide the Settings menu it would be greatly appreciated, as this is the last part of the Classic Shell that I need to configure!!

Did you log off from your user account and re-logon from turning on the policy to not enable settings?

Yes I did. Even rebooted the Server.

Download the Classic Shell Utility from here: http://classicshell.net/downloads/
Run it and send me the log file.
