I want to roll Classic start menu out across a school. Which of the group policy settings disable the first run experience, so all users have the settings I set in Group Policy Which policy setting sets the type of button if you replace start button? thanks |

You need to set the "Menu style" policy to prevent the initial popup that asks the user to choose the style. To change the button to a custom image, set the "Button look" policy to "Custom button" and set the "Button image" to the path to the custom image. |

Thanks, I meant select replace start button, and choose Classic (not a custom one) |

Sure, then in the "Button look" policy choose the classic option. |

On Windows 8.1 you also need to enable the "Replace Start button" policy. |
