I need to do a search for words inside Office Word files. This works for files in My Documents but not in the Dropbox folder. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks |

Yes. Open Control Panel -> Indexing Options or type "indexing options" into the Start Menu search box. Click Modify button and go to C:\Users\<your user name>\Dropbox folder and check the box next to it and click OK to add it to the list of Indexed folders. Give it a few minutes to index the contents. After that, its contents will show up in Start Menu search. Another way is right click your Dropbox folder and from "Include in Library" menu, add it to the Documents library. That will also make it searchable. |
