| Post subject: | Getting Classic Shell to come up on start-up |
I am not sure this is the correct forum and this is a very basic question. I have Classic Shell on 2 Windows 8.1 laptops. I don't know what I did, but for one the classic start menu comes up when I log in. On the other, it still comes up with the 8.1 screen. How do I change it so the Classic Shell is there on startup and I don't have to bring it up? Thanks for the help. I'm glad I found this! :D |

In Classic Start Menu settings, go to the Windows 8.1 Settings tab and check the option "Skip Metro screen". |
