The policy should be under Administrative Templates\Classic Shell\Classic Start Menu.
You need to set "Button image" to the path and also "Button look" to "Custom button".

Can I get an example of the instructions for how to configure change the Start button using Group Policy? The Registry setting is "StartButtonPath" but don't see if/where it exists in Group Policy. Thank you. |

It is not clear to the user that he must also set the "Button look" policy and that just configuring "Button image" is not enough. If more than 1 policy setting is required to be set to configure something, their description should mention that. |
