...just solved my problem by uninstalling then installing 4.0.4 which has set everything back to normal

...since the new version of Classic Start Menu was installed (4.0.2) my menu has what would appear to be a strange bug....all of the initial menu items are now prefixed with $Menu....for example Programs is now $Menu.Programs, settings is now $Menu.Settings......and so on.....could you please tell me how to get rid of the $Menu bit....thanks! |

Looks like some files didn't get installed correctly. Do a Repair install or uninstall/reinstall to fix this. All your settings will be preserved. |
