I am currently using Classic Start Menu v3.6.5
(One online bogus "service" told me I have 3.88 and "that is OK")

In one thread on (on this forum) 20-Jan-2014, v4.0.4 ... is "almost" available

Is their an update for Win7 32-bit ?
Should I continue to update or is Win7 all settled in ?

I cannot find a "check for Updates" link
Thought I was on auto-updates but cannot find anything in "Classic Start Menu" settings, nor on Start > Programs > Classic Shell > <items>

You can download the installer of the latest release from this URL: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/latest . Also starting with Classic Shell 4.0.4, the Update component is improved so it can download future updates directly from its settings dialog, without opening your web browser.

Classic Shell 3.6.5 is more than a year old. Classic Shell 4.0.4 update is recommended for all Windows 7 and Windows 8 users. Version 4.0 (3.9.0 while it was in beta) was a major release that brought many new features for Windows 7 users too. Read them about here: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewt ... 343&p=6978 Later releases including 4.0.4 bring new features and dozens of bug fixes.

The only caveat is Windows Vista support has been dropped with Classic Shell 4. Version 3.6.8 is the last to support Vista and Server 2008. Classic Shell users on Windows 7 continue to get new features.
