Maybe some bugs to report On win 7 style start menu, 'menu look' settings do not work. They however work on both of the other start menus. Another possible bug: on uninstall and reboot and then reinstall of classic shell, settings are saved from previous version. Again I don't know if that is a bug or not, just seemed odd, because generally registry settings should be reset/deleted after uninstall of programs. I am running: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600] Windows 8.1 *I have not tested these bugs on other computers, so obviously it could just be my machine* |

You need to give a reliable way to reproduce any bugs. Which settings exactly do not work? : ) I tried them and all of them work. The icon size settings on the Menu Look tab require Classic Start Menu to be restarted before they will take effect. Classic Shell Settings are preserved after uninstall. This is intentional so you don't lose them because you forgot to back them up. To clean the registry if you don't want to keep any settings, delete the registry keys: HKCU\Software\IvoSoft and HKLM\Software\IvoSoft. |

All items under menu look do not work, even after classic menu restart, on the Windows 7 style start menu, the one on the far right. Also After deleting the reg key under current user, I was unable to find the reg key under local Machine. Also having removed classic shell my computer still loads into desktop on startup, shouldn't it load to the metro screen if classic shell is removed? |

Give me a single example of a setting in Menu Look that you are changing and it doesn't work. Tell me what you expect to happen and what happens instead. The HKLM keys are usually created by the installer, so if you uninstalled Classic Shell the key won't be there. If you are using Windows 8.1 then it is not Classic Shell that loads into desktop, it is Windows itself. Open the taskbar properties and go to the Navigation tab to turn that setting off. |
