Are you saying you don't see jumplists at all? Is it possible that the programs you have pinned don't have jumplists? If you pin the same program to the taskbar do you see a menu? |

After you changed the jump list number, did you open any documents and do they show in the taskbar jump list for the same program? |

Hi, Some of my programs used to have jump lists on a Windows 7 desktop and after migrating to Windows 8.1 on an MS Surface, I downloaded CS to improve the UI. Some programs have jump lists from the task bar icons as they used to in Windows 7, but Open Office (writer/cal) do not, and this is a know bug with OO. However, I was not able to get jump lists working as in CS http://www.classicshell.net/gallery/Cla ... 4/jumplist I am trying to understand if jump lists should show up on the start menu as well as the task bar icons, perhaps bypassing the OO bug. Thanks and my apologies for causing any confusion. ![]() George |

If OO has a bug that its jumplists don't work at all, then they won't work in the start menu either. If you have a program that is pinned to both the start menu and the taskbar, and you get jumplist from the taskbar but not the start menu, that's a cause for concern and I can look into it. Other than that, it is likely that the programs you have in the start menu either don't support jumplists or the jumplist is empty (like if you haven't opened any document with that program yet). |

Hi, It is not just OO. Control panel used to have jumplists in 7, but apparently not in 8.1. Some which behave identically are: Adobe Reader Irfanview Explorer I am just trying to understand what works, and just experimented with pinning Adobe Reader to the start menu. It looked like the screenshots that you have on the web site. So basically, if jumplists are "possible", they would show up on the taskbar and the start menu. If they are NOT, they won't show up in either. Thanks, ![]() George |
