Music is not there by default in the Classic style because it wasn't in the Classic menu. You have to add it yourself just like you can add any other folder. In the Windows 7 style you get a link to the Music library, just like it works in Windows 7. You can choose to make it expandable from the Customize Start Menu tab. |

It is complicated because the classic style menu is more powerful than Windows XP's menu ever was. It allows subitems for main items and completely customizing the command/link, label, tip, icon, sort order and a couple more options. Wouldn't you rather have more customization at the expense of a little complexity? If you want a simpler way, there is the Windows 7 style where it's very easy to add special folders. |

Thanks for both replies. When I was looking to put MUSIC in the right column, I selected "Classic with two columns" and I went to basic settings. When I saw you can display or not "This PC", "Favorites", "Recent Documents"... there, I thought: -That's it, here I go. But then I didn't saw any option to display or not "Music", "Videos", "Pictures"... I think next update should include there an option to display or not all that basic folders, as there's This PC, Control Panel and all that stuff. Thanks again, I would totally hate W8.1 without Classic Shell ![]() |
