Hi!
Windows 8 booting speed is very fast (~10-15 sec), but if I shutdown the PC with WMI (Method Win32Shutdown) or "shutdown -s" than windows boots up like it was rebooted (~30 sec).

What function (and what dll) does CSM use to shutdown the PC? (Command: shutdown)

When you click Shut Down in Classic Start Menu, it does what Shutdown.exe /hybrid /s would do from the command prompt or what regular "Shut down" command in Metro (Win+I) does. If you hold down Shift while clicking Shut down, it does a full shutdown like previous releases of Windows (will take longer to boot).

Windows 8 only boots fast if you have fast boot enabled. This also requires hibernation to be enabled because fast boot actually uses a form of hibernation . Since disabling hibernation is one of the first things I do on every computer to save HDD space, my Win8 machine with it's 80GB hard drive does not use fast boot and takes about 45 seconds to reach the desktop and about another 30 seconds to be usable without lag. This is still faster than XP was on the same machine. My Nexus 7 Android tablet takes about the same amount of time to be fully usable.
