Classic Shell has its own settings and isn't affected by Windows Start Menu settings.
Right click the Start button -> Settings -> enable All Settings -> go to the 'General Behavior' tab and uncheck "Highlight newly installed programs'.

So how do I turn off the "highlight newly installed programs" settings? I removed the tick in the start menu settings of Winows 7 but the Classic Shell folder and it's links are all highlighted. I clicked on all in order to make it gone but it got back after the reboot of computer. So please help me turn this setting off. Thank you! |
