So how do I turn off the "highlight newly installed programs" settings? I removed the tick in the start menu settings of Winows 7 but the Classic Shell folder and it's links are all highlighted. I clicked on all in order to make it gone but it got back after the reboot of computer. So please help me turn this setting off. Thank you!

Classic Shell has its own settings and isn't affected by Windows Start Menu settings. :)

Right click the Start button -> Settings -> enable All Settings -> go to the 'General Behavior' tab and uncheck "Highlight newly installed programs'.
