Hello all. I have a logitech T400 Zone Touch Mouse, in Windows 8 i had the mouse setup to where id click the center button/touchpad which would switch me from the desktop or the Metro Desktop. I have installed the Official Windows 8.1 and then installed classic start 4.0 again.. the problem i am having is i cant get my center button the switch me back and fourth like it used to. I saw there is three settings.. 1. Nothing 2. Classic start menu 3. Windows start menu i tried all three options but none of the work. The first setting obviously nothing happens, the second i center click with my mouse and it brings up the classic start menu, the third finally which i was hoping would do the trick just also brings uo the classic start menu when i try it. Any ideas? or am i blatantly missing something obvious? |

Middle click should work. Export your setting to XML file and attach it here. |

Change Hover to Nothing and try again. It is possible the two settings interact in some way. |

I tried your settings on Windows 8.1 and everything works fine. Both hovering and middle-click open the start screen. Might be something specific to your mouse. Look at the mouse settings. Some drivers allow remapping of the middle button to something other than generating a middle click. Also if you have a plain USB mouse try it instead. |

Yeah i checked my mouse settings as well and they seem to be setup the way they need to be... bummer. I dont have any other usb mouses but i did try my old ps2 mouse and it didnt work. Maybe ill try and reinstall an older version of classic shell startup. |

You don't have any software like IntelliPoint/Mouse and Keyboard Center installed right that has assigned middle click to something else? Windows Update also installs these sometimes as Recommended Updates. |
