Don't know if it is a bug or not. I am running Objectdock and use it to hide the taskbar. Up until version 4, I was able to hide the taskbar and simply have the Win key launch Classic Shell. In version 4, using the Win key, or specifying any other key, will not launch/show the Classic Shell menu as long as Objectdock is hiding the taskbar. It is interest that Classic Shell, if specified, will launch the Windows 8 start menu with the taskbar hidden by Objectdock. I have simply reverted back to version 3.6.8 to have these programs play nice together.

Well, if you have two completely separate programs that both deal with the taskbar, it is very likely they won't play nice together. If anything, version 3.6.8 working is the exception.

For example if the taskbar is auto-hidden, the Win key will trigger the taskbar to show and the start menu will wait until the taskbar animation is finished. Then the menu will show. Otherwise the menu will show in the wrong spot. If Objectdock forces the taskbar to auto-hide, and then prevents it from opening, the start menu will keep waiting for the animation to finish and it never will.
