First of all - LOVE this classic shell and haven't HAD any issues at all........but now that I'm using it and used to windows 8, I decided to go into metro, so I re-enabled active corners and disabled skip metro since I now know how to easily get to the desktop with classic shell........But I've noticed something the past couple of days and I don't understand if it's classic shell causing this or something else.

Example: When you're in metro and in an app.......to close the app, you move mouse to the top middle which turns the arrow into a hand......then you pull down slowly to exit the app.........that worked just a couple of days ago in fact........but not anymore, the arrow stays an arrow, so the only way to exit the app is alt f4.............also, the charms bar doesn't show..........Nothing I do will make the charms bar appear from the desktop as far as settings go...

I don't know if this is a classic shell thing or a windows 8 issue on my part.

If anyone could give me a suggestion......thanks

My computer itself is FAST and not laggy at all.

Thanks

If you re-enabled hot corners from going to the Windows 8 Settings tab, and setting it to "None" or "Start screen", then you should be getting a hand cursor at the top and charms should work too. Classic Shell doesn't do anything to permanently affect system functionality, you can simply try exiting the Start Menu temporarily by right clicking the Start button -> Exit. Once you do that, if you still don't get the hand cursor and charms, something else broke the Modern UI on your PC, as when the Classic Start Menu is not running, Classic Shell's changes to Modern UI are no longer operational.

Yes - I actually right clicked the start button on shell to exit and then went to metro.......everything in metro works perfectly fine..........but the hand doesn't show nor does the charms bar. Weird.

I suspected it may have nothing to do with classic shell, but wasn't sure.

Thanks :)
