Hi,

Being a newbie to this great product, I have a question that I've searched for in the Forums but can't find a hit.

I'm using 3.6.8 with Vista/Windows 7 Start Menu Style.

I would like add a Folder in the right pane (Computer, Control Panel, etc side). It would contain shortcuts to run my common programs.

Is this possible and if so how?

Many thanks,
John

That's interesting. A favorites second program menu, with only the pick of the crop.
Yeah, just like a tv remote fav button.:P

I guess one would have to make a folder on hard drive first, and name it say, Common Programs.
Copy over program shortcuts from original installed locations,
or copy the select ones from the all programs menu,
of Classic Start Menu.
Good to look at the Classic Start Menu help file first, to get familiar.

Go to Customize Start Menu tab, double click on the custom command at bottom right.
Drag the Custom item on left to any location below COLUMN_BREAK.
Double click the custom item, and put the link to the newly made Common Programs folder location on your drive.
The pro users may have easier ways than this.

^^ What he said.
1. Open Classic Start Menu settings, go to the Customize Start Menu tab. Scroll to the bottom in the right column and locate "Custom" command
2. Drag "Custom" command to the left column and position it by dragging it to wherever you want it.
3. Double click it. In the Edit Menu item dialog, enter the folder path of your folder which contains your favorite program shortcuts. It must be entered in the Link field if you want it to open as a cascading menu.
4. Optionally give it a name (Label), infotip, icon etc and click OK twice to save settings.
