When I exit start menu, Metro is multimonitor aware. I can click on any hot corners to bring up Metro screen or app on that monitor. But when Start button is loaded and hot corners disabled I can't Shift click on it to open Metro on monitor where I clicked. It opens on another monitor. So I think Classic Shell breaks multimonitor awareness of Metro. Feature request: I propose holding down Shift to temporarily enable bottom left hot corner so instead of Shift click on button opening Metro on wrong monitor, I can Shift click on hot corner to open Metro on correct monitor. |

Classic Shell doesn't break Metro but I am not sure there is a way provided by MS to make the Start screen or Metro app open on a specific screen. In fact, when you use the Windows key, or Win+I, Win+C etc on the monitor which has the mouse pointer and focus, you will see that they're not multi-monitor friendly when using the keyboard, they appear on the monitor where the last Metro app or Start screen was open. But yes I agree it's a good idea to enable hot corners when Shift or some key is held down. |
