I downloaded the utility again as you told me in your first reply. I followed your instructions exactly this time. Sorry to say I still cannot install it as I get the same message I did before about it wanting the 64 bit version and when I cancel out of there (as I have also tried just hitting ok and it goes back to wanting the 64 bit file) it gives a message about being unable to uninstall the previous version, which is confusing at best since I am trying to install. I have also downloaded v4.3 a few times to ensure that the one I had wasn't corrupted in the d/l process.
I always reboot after using the utility program, I have even tried shutting down completely to no avail. I even tried installing it in safe mode and get the same results. I tried the compatibility troubleshooter, running as administrator and the end result is the same. After each failed install attempt I rerun the utility and reboot again. I have done all of the above repeatedly over the past couple of days.
Today I had the utility make a log but when I looked through it I realized it is nothing that I want to post in a public forum. I would gladly email it to a tech but will not disclose my system information openly. I am an extremely advanced computer user which is probably why I dislike Windows 10 so much as it is mainly bloatware for those who are computer/tablet etc. unskilled or for those who just like to push an icon. I am neither of those.
Although at this point it may be a moot point, below are more screen captures of the utility log, and the messages I get during the install attempts:
