Does CS have to be disabled before upgrading to Windows 10? Or just leave it on as usual during the upgrade? I don't want there to be a conflict. Thanks.

No you can leave it as is and after Windows 10 setup completes, it should configure itself. Just make sure you install the latest Classic Shell version before moving to Windows 10.

I am a Windows enthusiast and helped a little with Classic Shell's testing and usability/UX feedback.

I'm interested in knowing what will happen if Classic Shell is not on the latest version before upgrading to Windows 10. I have installed CS on a number of PCs that I have built for friends and family who are not tech savvy. I imagine that if they go ahead and upgrade their OS, CS will simply not function, but they will be able to use their PC with W10 in its vanilla state, without problems?
