Edit: This beta build link is now obsolete. A newer beta can be downloaded from: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/latestbeta The final build of the closed beta can be downloaded from here: http://classicshell.mediafire.com/downl ... _3_9_0.exe It fixes few of the issues found in the earlier builds:
As before, you need to uninstall the previous 3.9.0 version before installing this one. |

Windows 8.1 Preview x64 Rus: 1) User picture loss after menu auto reopen while moving folders  2) If choose "reduse glass color" then skin always grey 3) When run uninstaller with no manual exit from CS - then in end explorer hang 4) Top 3(or 4) pexels lines not give desktop selection when blocking all corners 5) If search for MSC then not possible to see 2nd half of results

2) That's because the skin is grey. What makes it not grey is the glass color. When you reduce it, the skin gets greyer. 3) Were you in the middle of copying a file (so the menu was hidden?) 4) Not sure what you mean by "not give desktop selection" 5) Yes. That's a limitation. If you want to see more results make the menu taller. Or keep typing so there is less results. |

4) I think he means that when all hot corners are disabled, selecting the icons on the desktop by dragging from the top edge of the screen isn't possible. |

I don't think that's possible even without disabling corners. The cursor turns into a hand and dragging actually closes the desktop instead of selecting. |

3) No. Same problem is only with uninstalling all beta builds on 8.1x64rus. 4) But not free analogs make it (StartIsBack+ Beta, Start8 Beta). |

3) When the Explorer hangs, can you still right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager? |

3) No, there are no taskbar, no desktop with icons and wallpaper - only 1 colour, where I can run Task Manager via Ctrl+Shift+Esc. 1 time worked Alt+F4, last time Alt+F4 not worked - I shut down PC via key on system block (was soft mode). |

Hello ! Great job  So it's a stable version ? I would like to know if it's necessary to uninstall the 3.6.8 version ? Or it's possible to install it over ? The DLL file for language is necessary (compatible) ? |

Its still in beta, however it is plenty stable enough for every day use... you can install it right over 3.6.8 |

It still does not show the Metro apps and reports the folder as being empty. |

At the moment there are no language files for the beta version. There won't be until the final release. Things need to stabilize before the translations can be done. |
