I want to get the image file that Windows 10 uses for it's start button, but after hours, and I mean HOURS of searching, I found nothing. Does anyone know where I could find it in on my hard drive?

If my memory serves me, it's in the Visual Style.

Yes.
Opening Win 10 aero.msstyles in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero
with Resource Hacker. I see many sizes.
I'm using ResHack 3.6

IMAGE 1514 to 1525

Instead of wasting hours looking for image,
I saved everything to a folder, bulk renamed .bin to .png
Then saw it quicker set as view as large icons.

Info from another site: Dec 1, 2008

- To change the extension of the files inside the folder,
press Shift and right-click on the folder and select Open Command Window Here.
add this text " ren *.bin *.png " to the line, and push enter.
Now all the files inside the folder will change to the extension you want.

Now you try, or just go right to those image numbers.
