Back when win8 first came out I got classic shell and it was packaged with a start button that was similar to the metro button. I recently had to fresh install classic shell and no long have access to this button. There are similar here, but I prefer that one. Hopefully a few will remember it or might still have it. Thanks.

That is where I got it from. Why would that one come with it but not any others? and does it still?

Microsoft complained about the Classic Shell logo looking similar to the Windows logo and "requested" it to be changed. So it doesn't come with the product any more.

That is definitely not infuriating. So it's not laying around somewhere?

What is not laying around? I still don't know exactly which Start button you are after.
