| If you are getting the same behavior from the Win+X menu, then it doesn't seem like a Classic Shell problem. Also, try holding Shift when shutting down from the start menu. It will do a full shutdown instead of the normal hybrid shutdown. | |

| When I hit the shift and start button it takes me to the charms. sometimes the start works and sometimes it doesn't. I have to watch the tower to make sure the light it out. Thank again Lor86 | |

| No, I meant you press the start button normally, but before you select the Shutdown menu item you hold down Shift. | |
